Tenant vacating request
Your Residential tenancy Agreement is a legally binding contract, providing protection for both you and the landlord. You can terminate the Residential Tenancy Agreement in the following ways:
If you intend to vacate at the end of you Residential Tenancy Agreement you are required to give twenty-eight (28) days WRITTEN notice to the expiry of the fixed term of your agreement. Please note that at least three (3) additional business days notice must be given when mailing your written advice of intention to vacate.
Once the fixed term has expired you are at liberty to continue living at the
property on a periodic Tenancy (month to month) where you are still bound by the
terms and conditions of the original lease agreement. If you
intend to vacate, WRITTEN notice to that effect must be received by our office
at least twenty-eight (28) days prior to the vacating date.
Should, unforeseen circumstances arise and you have to vacate prior to the
expiration of your Residential Tenancy Agreement please contact our office
immediately and we will endeavour to assist you in finding suitable tenant(s).
However, you will still be responsible for the rent until another tenant is
found as well as the payment of the letting fee, and all advertising costs.

In accordance with the Residental Tenancies Act, 1997. I/We acknowledge that rent must be paid up to the date of vacating and my/our responsibility under the Act that states: A tenant under a tenancy agreement shalll not refuse to pay rent on the grounds that he intends to regard as rent by him the security deposit or any part of the security deposit paid by him in respect of the premises. Your security deposit is held with the RTBA and therefore it is mandatory to complete a bond claim form for the return of the security deposit. Your property manager will confirm receipt of this notice by forwarding confirmation in writing of your vacate date together with a final inspection guide and bond claim form
